A Burr Walnut and Walnut Centre Table.
The tri-form base and the frieze veneered in highly figured burr walnut.
The Table Top inlaid with 113 different Marbles and Hardstones, all but 4 reclaimed from Antiquity.
This is an attractive example of an Italian Table Top brought back from a Grand Tour in the early 19th Century. The base was made to accommodate it plainly influenced by the designs of George Smith.
