Court Cupboard

An Unsual Cumbrian Box Settle. Circa 1740

An Oak Box Settle with wonderful colour and patina.  The finials unusually are not applied, but are turned from the solid of the stile. An extravagant use of wood! With it's original lid with old leather fixings to render it air and insect proof. A very untouched piece of furniture with wear to the back legs and an old crack to the front centre panel.
